Farrington is a Minneapolis-based interdisciplinary artist specializing in hip/hop, photo/videography and deeply integrated community work. He is driven by equal passion for: sharing his story through music and poetry; sharing the stories of others through documentation, media and event production, and; building community through celebration, real connections and creative organizing. He has worked as an arts and culture-based organizer with nonprofits in low-income, BIPOC, and immigrant Twin Cities communities in Cedar Riverside, North and South Minneapolis & East Side Saint Paul. Farr Well - Llewellyn's music persona - is a hip-hop artist with a striking sense of self-awareness and purpose. Llewellyn's art transcends social stigmas to find a place of renewal in sharing important stories, based in reality, that educate and transform the perceptions of those who listen. With his latest project, Hard Pill To Swallow (July 2020), Farr Well shares his coming to terms with his Bipolar diagnosis, opening the door for conversations on mental illness and generational trauma. His unique soundscape of eclectic hip-hop has been welcomed by fans with over 200 performances in the Twin Cities and globally with performances at Hojoya Festival in Hakozaki, Fukuoka, and the famed Alfie Jazz Roponggi in Tokyo, Japan.
