Alexis Stangarone

Special Assistant, Office of the President

Alexis Stangarone is the special assistant to Salzburg Global President Stephen Salyer. In her role, based in the Washington, DC office, she manages the workflow in the Office of the President and supports the President on all matters relating to fundraising, governance, and program development. Before joining Salzburg Global in 2018, she was the member services manager at the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) where she coordinated the organization's member engagement initiatives. Prior to that, she was a Brent Scowcroft Award Fellow with the Aspen Strategy Group where she organized foreign policy dialogues. She also has experience teaching English in South Korea, as well as interning with the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the US Consulate in Naples, Italy. She holds an M.Sc. in international politics from SOAS, University of London, UK, and a B.A. in international studies from Middlebury College, VT, USA.
