Alex Plum

Alexander Plum is the director of development and innovation for the Global Health Initiative at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. He identifies and adapts promising solutions from the field of global health to transform care delivery for vulnerable and marginalized populations. His projects test innovative approaches that address the social determinants of health in both clinical and community settings, paying special attention to quality improvement and implementation science. From 2008 to 2011, Alexander was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia. He received his B.A. from Michigan State University and his M.P.H. from Emory University, which honored him with its 2015 Humanitarian Award. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Session 592, Building Healthy Communities: The Role of Hospitals, in 2017.
