Yuli Rustinawati is one of the founders and the chairperson of Arus Pelangi, a non-profit organization, which has been founded in 2006 in response to a desperate need in Indonesia for formal legal representation of the LGBTI Communities. Yuli became an activist 18 years ago and started focusing on LGBTI rights 12 years ago. She is also a member of legal Aids Institution and Human Rights in Indonesia. She is a trainer for SOGIESC, human rights, and security. She also has several experiences with advisory and consulting for SOGIESC. In 2016, on behalf of Arus Pelangi, she received the Felipa de Souza award from Outright Action International. Yuli graduated as an economics major.
