Maryam Ghaddar

Impact Reporter

Maryam Ghaddar is an Impact Reporter for Salzburg Global Seminar, based in Beirut, Lebanon. She supports the American Studies Program, writing summary articles on the virtual meetings, interviewing Fellows to produce feature stories, and compiling materials for newsletters. Maryam has been involved with the organization since 2015 when she attended the Salzburg Academy for Media and Global Change and served as a Communications and Marketing Intern in the spring of 2018. Maryam currently works remotely as editor for the Sonophilia Foundation, conducting interviews with network members, editing audio and hosting a podcast series called The Sonophilian, drafting newsletters, and writing articles, blog posts, and press releases on their many projects aimed at making the study of creativity a tangible science. She previously served as news editor and anchorwoman for a broadcast news station, copy-editor for The Daily Star newspaper, and features writer for HOME for Lebanon magazine. Maryam holds a B.A. in education from the University of Wyoming, USA and an M.A. in media and journalism studies from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
