Wei Wei

Associate Professor of Sociology, East China Normal University, China

Wei Wei is an associate professor of sociology at East China Normal University in Shanghai. His research and teaching interests include gender and sexuality, queer studies, urban space, and social movement, with a concentration on LGBT communities and movements in mainland China. He is the author of Going Public: The Production and Transformation of Queer Space in Contemporary Chengdu, China and Queering Chinese Society: Urban Space, Popular Culture and Social Policy. Dr. Wei holds a B.A. from Peking University, China, and a Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago, USA.
