Laurindo Garcia founded the B-Change Group to promote social change through technology. B-Change is a social enterprise that uses websites, apps, and data to address social issues such as exclusion of LGBTI and other minority groups. Laurindo has been openly living with HIV for more than 10 years. In 2011 Laurindo publicly shared his story about fighting stigma and discrimination. Since then videos and interviews about Laurindo's experiences made their way to Youtube and Facebook and these have become a source of inspiration to many. Laurindo previously worked in the public and private sectors with eight countries including Australia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, the UK, and the US. His team at B-Change is building a mobile app to promote LGBT inclusion. His team also helps other community organizations use information communication technology more effectively. Laurindo has been a contributor to the Huffington Post and the Salzburg Global LGBT Forum since 2015. In 2016, he was elected into the prestigious Ashoka Fellowship for Social Entrepreneurs and spoke at the Millennials Impact Conference in Washington, DC.
