Paul Sixpence is currently employed as the coordinator for governance and human rights advocacy projects at Centre Stage Media Arts Foundation, Zimbabwe. As a peace and human rights advocate, Paul is interested in promoting the peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue, mediation, and negotiation. Over the years, Paul has worked to address state-based conflicts in Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Madagascar. In 2011, while working for the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes in Durban, South Africa, he brought together key Somali political actors, intellectuals and civil society groups for a dialogue, which was titled the Somali Badigoob. Paul has held the following fellowships: Young African Scholar Fellowship (Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation), Justice Initiative Fellow (Open Society Foundations), HIV Biomedical Prevention Fellowship (AVAC), Transitional Justice Fellow (Institute for Justice and Reconciliation), McGill Echenberg Democracy and Human Rights Fellow (McGill University - Faculty of Law). He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies from the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe, and has studied human rights at master's degree level at the Central European University, Hungary. Paul is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
