Anne-Marie Slaughter is dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in New Jersey. She also holds faculty positions in the Department of Politics and serves as president of the American Society of International Law. Dr. Slaughter's teaching and research focus on global governance, the politics of international tribunals, and interdisciplinary analyses of international legal issues. From 1990 to 1994, she was a professor of law and international relations at the University of Chicago Law School. More recently she served as the director of graduate and international studies at the Harvard Law School and was a founder and faculty director of the Harvard Colloquium on International Affairs. She is also the former J. Sinclair Armstrong Professor of International, Foreign, and Comparative Law at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Slaughter is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a trustee of the World Peace Foundation. She received an undergraduate degree from Princeton University in New Jersey, and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Oxford University, United Kingdom.
