Robert Moeller is an assistant professor of psychology at Middlebury College, USA, and a developmental psychologist. His research has focused on the development of health behaviors among adolescent and young adults. Dr. Moeller has studied trajectories of risks and resiliencies associated with substance use, mental health, and sexual behavior. His research explores the intersection of multiple identities of race and ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation associated with health promoting behaviors. Most recently, his research has focused on the role of emotions and trust in the decision making process. Specifically, he has been studying the development of trust in intimate relationships and exploring how individuals utilize trust to make decisions associated with health seeking behaviors. Dr. Moeller holds a B.S. in human development from Cornell University, an Ed.M. in human development and psychology from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in psychological development from New York University.
