Lisa Ackerman is the interim CEO of World Monuments Fund, New York and oversees a program of activities spanning more than 50 countries, engaging the public and the professional community in a dialogue about the importance of cultural heritage conservation and its relevance to community resiliency. Prior to her current role, Lisa served as the executive vice president of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to art conservation and art history, particularly European artistic traditions from antiquity through the early 19th century. She is currently the chair of Historic House Trust of New York City and serves on the boards of the New York Preservation Archive Project and the American Schools of Oriental Research. She has served in the past on the boards of US ICOMOS, St. Ann Center for Restoration and the Arts, and Partners for Sacred Places. In 2007 she received Historic Districts Council's Landmarks Lion Award and in 2008 was the inaugural recipient of US ICOMOS's Ann Webster Smith Award for International Heritage Achievement.
