Bianca Jagger

Founder, The Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation

Bianca Jagger is founder, president and chief executive of the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation (BJHRF). She is also Council of Europe Goodwill Ambassador, IUCN Bonn Challenge Ambassador, and Member of the Executive Director's Leadership Council of Amnesty International USA.

Her work for human rights and environmental advocacy has earned her numerous prestigious awards and accolades, including the Right Livelihood Award, often referred to as the Alternative Nobel Prize, the Amnesty International USA Media Spotlight Award for Leadership, the United Nations Earth Day International Award, the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation's World Citizenship Award, and the World Achievement Award by Mikhail Gorbachev, among others.

Bianca has been awarded three honorary doctorates: a doctorate of law from the University of East London in 2010, a doctorate of human rights from Simmons College, Boston, in 2008, and a doctorate of humanities from Stonehill College, Massachusetts, in 1983.
