Amanda Ray

Library Intern

Amanda Ray, also known as Mandi, is the Library Intern at Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. Her responsibilities include cataloging books, digitizing the photograph archives, and aiding in the general operation of the library in Schloss Leopoldskron. Before joining Salzburg Global in April 2019, Mandi contributed metadata to projects at the University of British Columbia Library and the Newberry Library, Chicago. Concurrently, she worked in an anthropology museum in the Pacific Northwest, where she partnered with BC First Nations knowledge holders to develop and deliver school programs about museum collections and exhibitions. She has been a volunteer at the National Archives and Records Administration and is currently pursuing dual masters in archival studies and library and information science at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Mandi was a visiting student at the University of Oxford and graduated with an honors B.A. in history from American University in Washington, D.C.
