Amanda Strukus

Library Intern

Amanda Strukus is a Library Intern at Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. Her primary responsibilities include maintaining periodical subscriptions, researching, cataloging, and undertaking other library-related tasks. Before joining Salzburg Global in January 2019, she worked at Elms College as a circulation desk supervisor, performing library duties such as re-shelving, organizing books and assisting with student research. At the University of Massachusetts Special Collections and University Archives, she worked as a metadata specialist for a digitization project where she digitized and added descriptive metadata to a collection. Amanda also worked at New London Historical Society as an archives intern, where she cataloged new acquisitions into their database. Amanda graduated with a B.F.A. in photography from Parsons School of Design, US in May 2016 and will be graduating with her Masters in library and information sciences with a concentration in archival management from Simmons University, US, in May 2019.
