Alyssa Fearon

Curator, Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada

Alyssa Fearon is a curator, educator, and an arts manager. She actively seeks new ways of organizing art projects within communities that have not traditionally been sanctioned as places of creativity and innovation. Alyssa is currently the curator for the inaugural Scarborough zone of Nuit Blanche Toronto, an annual city-wide celebration of contemporary art attracting an audience of over 1 million. She is also leading the concept development for an artist mentorship program for youth artists. Alyssa has organized a range of projects, from large-scale performances by international artists to community-based youth programs. She has also been involved in advisory boards for social enterprises, art galleries and city-run events. Alyssa holds an M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business, Toronto, and an M.A. in art history from York University, Toronto.
