Astrid Reisinger Coracini

Director, Salzburg Law School on International Criminal Law, Austria

Astrid Reisinger-Coracini is a post-doctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Vienna and director of the Salzburg Law School on International Criminal Law, Humanitarian Law, and Human Rights Law. Her research focuses on theory and sources of international law, the use of force, and international criminal law. Before her position at the University of Vienna, she was an assistant professor at the Institute of International Law and International Relations of the University of Graz and a visiting researcher at New York University, USA. Astrid also served as legal officer at the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and was responsible for the development of a master's program at the International Anti-Corruption Academy. She started her career as research assistant for international and comparative criminal law at the University of Salzburg. She holds a master's degree and a Ph.D. in law from the University of Graz, Austria. Astrid is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
