Mark Salvaus

Visual Artist and Founder of Load na Dito Projects

Mark Salvatus is a contemporary artist whose work deals with everyday subjects engaging with the urban landscape and chance encounters. His projects have been presented in various exhibitions including the Philippine Pavilion of Venice Architecture Biennale, Singapore Biennale, Guangzhou Triennale, Jakarta Biennale and Sonsbeek International. Mr. Salvatus is the founder and artistic director of a multi-disciplinary artist-run initiative and space called 98B COLLABoratory (98B). Founded in 2012 in his small apartment, 98B started with the question "What if ?" Now a team of ten, 98B works with individuals and organizations to create exhibitions, film screenings, bazaars, artist residencies, dinners and workshops using different possible venues in a heritage district in Manila. 98B has become a site as well as a community for creative exchanges, experimentation and presentation of numerous ways to work together to recognize different strengths and possibilities.
