Michelle Dai Zotti is a development manager at Salzburg Global Seminar, based in the Washington DC office, where she supports the Development Team with fundraising and project development. Michelle is originally from the German-speaking region of South Tyrol in northern Italy but has spent most of her professional career abroad. Prior to joining Salzburg Global Seminar in April 2016, Michelle lived for six years in Beijing, China where she completed internships with the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy and the Delegation of the European Union to China and Mongolia. She also worked as a partnership officer for the international NGO Humana People to People China (HPP China). Michelle holds a bachelor's degree in sinology from the University of Vienna, Austria and a master's degree in international relations from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. In October 2015, she published her master's dissertation on ethnic minority issues. Michelle is fluent in German, Italian, English and Mandarin Chinese.
