Yasmina Ghandour

Social Media Intern

Yasmina Ghandour is a Social Media Intern at Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. As a member of the Communications Team, she helps oversee the design, scheduling, and production of social media content for Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. Before joining Salzburg Global in April 2019, she noticed the lack of national education on local culture in her home in Beirut, Lebanon, and decided to devote her work to cultural conservation and revival regarding the Afro-Asiatic world. She hopes her work can weave common ground between its varied and rich communities, who are all founded on common ancestry and kindred heritage. She geared her animation work on Semitic mythologies and cultural identities and finished several creative animation dossiers, ranging between Semitic spiritualties and the Levantine pantheon. She also completed a book on Tarab music composed by her late grandfather, hoping his musical contribution will once more enter the Lebanese cultural catalog. She completed a B.F.A. in graphic design and a minor in studio arts at the American University of Beirut, as well as a Licence in cinema of animation at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts.
