Salzburg Global Seminar Celebrates the Success of Partner Institutions

Several Media Academy partner universities dominate ranking of US journalism courses

The latest US News and World Report has ranked four Salzburg Global Seminar partner universities within the top six in the US for their journalism courses. Emerson College, who ranked first in the country, the University of Texas in Austin, and the University of Maryland all send students to participate in the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change every year, alongside staff to facilitate the session. The University of Southern California was also represented in 2016, by sending staff to play an active role in this year’s session.

Having such strong partner institutions means great things for the future of Salzburg Global Seminar – these relationships provide a great base from which we can improve and evolve as an academy over the next 10 years. Also, it signals to our other partner institutions that they are in excellent company. As Salzburg Global continues to cultivate its relationships with universities in Mexico, Argentina, the UK, Lebanon, China and more, there can be no doubt that these universities are working with the best minds the US has to offer.

Salzburg Global Seminar looks forward to continuing to affect global change in a positive way, in coordination with some of the best universities, academics and journalists that the US has to offer, and warmly  congratulates these institutions on their outstanding achievements.
