New research project led by University of Leeds to investigate how the arts, heritage, and human rights education can support youth-centered approaches to civil society building in post-conflict countries
Salzburg Global Seminar is proud to be part of “Changing the Story,” a research project headed by the University of Leeds that is investigating how the arts, heritage, and human rights education can support youth-centered approaches to civil society building in post-conflict countries.
As part of this project, the University of Leeds will be making ten grants to early career researchers for projects that critically examine the relationship between young people and civil society organizations in post-conflict countries. This opportunity is open to all early career researchers based in or working with ODA-recipient countries where the legacy of past conflict continues to shape communities today.
As part of the program’s commitment to the professional development of early career researchers working in this area, “Changing The Story” is running a Project Development Workshop, for early career researchers interested in applying for one of these grants, to help build and strengthen new partnerships and develop innovative, multi-disciplinary collaborative research projects. The Project Development Workshop takes place on October 25 and 26 in London, UK. Attendance at the workshop is a pre-requisite for applying for the grant. The program will cover travel and accommodation expenses to attend.

Applications to attend the workshop must be received by July 23 2018.
