SGS continues to focus on critical gender issues.
The Salzburg Global Seminar recently concluded a special session with the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Belgian Fund for Food Security, focused on Transforming Agricultural Development and Production in Africa: Closing Gender Gaps and Empowering Rural Women in Policy and Practice.
The UN Commission on the Status of Women has as its priority theme this year “the empowerment of rural women…” and our colleagues from IFAD, who have an active role in the CSW this year, have disseminated a briefing that shares the key messages and innovative interventions crafted at the Salzburg session.
