Ed Kelley, Director of Service Delivery and Safety for WHODr Ed Kelley, Director of Service Delivery and Safety for the World Health Health Organization has provided a video for Salzburg Global Seminar's upcoming Better Health Care: How do we learn about improvement?In the video Kelley describes what better Health Care means to WHO.
Kelley details the linkage between resilience, health security and universal health coverage, within the framework of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). WHO believes resilience must be a fundamental element of any health system and that resilient health systems play a pivotal role in improving individual and global health security, serve as a root of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and can accelerate the progress to SDG 2030. In order to move health systems towards UHC and achieve the SDG, WHO believes there needs to be a key focus on increasing the global evidence-base on improvement science with an emphasis on local learning to transform global change will be critical.This video has been part of a series of videos prepared by key health experts for the upcoming Better Health Care session which can be seen in the Youtube playlist below.
