HOLOCAUST EDUCATION AND GENOCIDE PREVENTION

Holocaust Education

Holocaust Education Around the World

Salzburg Global Seminar, together with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), and with support from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), have held several sessions and consultation exercises to create a global perspective on Holocaust Education around the world. The focus of this exercise was on countries that are currently not members of IHRA.

These finding were initially compiled and published in 2013. Since then, Salzburg Global and the USHMM have continued to gather updates, published online. The country profiles found on this website include summaries of Holocaust education in that country, links to resources, archival materials, and other organization working on Holocaust education and remembrance initiatives.

IHRA countries include: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States. While in-depth profiles on these countries are not included on this website, there are links to both IHRA and USHMM's profiles provided for each country.

If you would like to submit an update to this section of the website, please contact the Salzburg Global Holocaust Education and Genocide Prevention Program Director, Charles E. Ehrlich.
