Government-Related Holocaust Education/Information

Ministry of Education and Sports – A national curriculum could not be located, but the ministerial report to the international conference on education in Geneva, Switzerland from September 8-11, 2004, highlights the nation’s intention that education promotes, “unity, justice, human rights, peace, social equality, and harmony”.  The report similarly includes among “education and competencies for life” the inculcation of tolerance, local and international values, and respect for oneself, the nation, and others. 

Uganda has a National Commission for UNESCO.

General Holocaust Education/Information

The Abayudaya people make up the Jewish community of Uganda. They live in Mbale and surrounding villages in eastern Uganda.
