Government-Related Holocaust Education/Information

Ministry of Education – Afghanistan’s national curriculum could not be located, but the Education Law, Decree No. 56, of April 31, 2008, mandates the incorporation of human rights and non-discrimination across curricula and education-levels. Afghanistan has a National Commission for UNESCO.

Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) – The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission was established on the basis of the 2004 Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.  Its functions include the promotion and protection of women and children’s rights and the rights of persons with disabilities; transitional justice; and monitoring, investigating, and educating about human rights.
