Past Program

Peace is key to ensuring Asia's sustained development and prosperity as the world's most populous region grows in global geopolitical and economic importance. But despite the region’s rich experience in mediating peace and reconciliation, the learning exchange between regional, local and community-driven initiatives has so far been low.

Launched in 2020, the Asia Peace Innovators Forum aims to shape long-term peace, stability, and regional cooperation in Asia by building a network of mid-career professionals working in different sectors and countries to exchange knowledge, community-driven approaches, and best practices. Due the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this program has been moved primarily online.

All Fellows participating in the Asia Peace Innovators Forum have been asked to produce a poster - "What Is Your Peace?" - in which they identify a specific challenge and (optionally) an idea for a solution around which several Fellows might collaborate to address it.  These solution ideas should ideally not be big-budget items, but should build on the Fellow’s existing work and seek ways that other Fellows in the network could strengthen or expand on the idea.  Proposals for action can be made by individuals or by several Fellows working together.

At this online meeting, Fellows will have a chance to present their challenges and discuss solutions with colleagues leading to development of implementation plans.

Participation in this program is by invitation only.
