Albert Rohan is President of the Austro-American Society, and is a long-serving Austrian diplomat, columnist and consultant to business. He served as Secretary General of Austrias Foreign Ministry and as deputy United Nations special envoy for the final status negotiations for Kosovo assisting former Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari. He also served as an ambassador to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. He is a founding member of the European Council on Foreign Relations. He is the rapporteur of the Independent Commission on Turkey. Ambassador Rohan studied in Vienna and Graz where he received his Ph.D. in law.
