Debby Landesman has significant leadership experience in philanthropy and the non-profit sector. She is an independent consultant who works as a philanthropic advisor to private foundations, corporate foundations, and non-profit organizations. Prior to beginning her consulting business in 1996, she was executive director of the Levi Strauss Foundation in San Francisco and earlier served as a senior program officer at the Kresge Foundation in Detroit. She has also completed a three-year national fellowship awarded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and served as a guest lecturer on corporate social responsibility for the US State Department. In addition, Ms. Landesman is a member of the board of the Public Theater in New York and of the American Friends of the National Theater. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in engineering from Washington University.
