Cecile Hoareau is a Fulbright postdoctoral research scholar at the University of California Berkeley. Herself a product of international higher education, she has lived in eight countries on three continents.
Ms. Hoareau taught political science at the London School of Economics for three years and acts as a consultant/expert for the European Commission, where she previously worked on higher education issues. She publishes her work in various journals across the world. Her research interests are the impact of globalization and Europeanization on higher education policy, higher education financing and governance, as well as comparative higher education.
She wrote her doctoral thesis at the London School of Economics on the European higher education reforms, the Bologna process. Ms. Hoareau also has an M.Sc. from University College London and a first degree from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques.
