Fawad Javaid

Lecturer of Pakistan Studies, Kohat University of Science and Technology, Pakistan

Fawad Javaid is a lecturer of Pakistan studies at Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST). He is a South Asian and American Studies scholar with research interests in Canadian human security agenda, conflict zones, war and peace studies, Islamic radicalism in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran, ethnic and religious minorities, intercultural/faith dialogue, South Asian and Iranian leftism, and North American labor history. Prior to his appointment at KUST, he taught courses at COMSATS University Islamabad, University of Arid Agriculture, Rawalpindi, and the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in American studies from the Area Study Center for Africa, North and South America at Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad, where he researches early twentieth century North American labor radicalism. Fawad holds a M.Phil. from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad, as well as an M.A. in Pakistan studies from the University of Peshawar. Fawad is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
