Wilma Waterlander

Senior Researcher LIKE, Amsterdam UMC, University of Amsterdam, Department of Public Health, The Netherlands

Wilma Waterlander works at the Amsterdam UMC, University of Amsterdam, Department of Public Health. In 2012, Wilma completed her Ph.D. on the feasibility and effectiveness of food pricing strategies to change food purchasing behavior. After that, she worked six years at the University of Auckland leading food policy research. In her current position, Wilma is working as a senior researcher of the LIKE (Lifestyle Innovations based on youth's Knowledge and Experience) project, combining systems dynamics and participatory action research. Also, she is co-investigator on the SUPREME-Nudge project; a project testing food pricing strategies for health and climate; and on a supermarket co-design study. Wilma was a Fellow for the Lancet Commission on Obesity and she is a Fellow of the International Council for Science Food Futures Early Career Network.
