Xu Bing is a senior partner of GH & Partners, a law group based in Beijing. During his career as law professional, he has been involved in many legal reform processes of the Government of China, in constitutional law, administrative litigation law, contract law, and adoption law. Mr. Xu is also adjunct professor at the School of Law of Tsinghua University, Beijing. Prior to joining GH & Partners as a practicing lawyer in 1995, he served as the director of American Law Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing. From 1988 to 1994, he held the position of vice director of the Division of Civil Law at the CASS. Before that, he was senior research fellow at the CASS law institute and professor at the Post-Graduate School of the CASS. Mr. Xu was a member of the Hong Kong Law Group that facilitated the negotiation and drafting of the Sino-British joint declaration over return of Hong Kong to China. He has published widely on various legal subjects including law on sales, corporations, administration, and human rights. Mr. Xu holds an LL.M. from the New York University School of Law.
