Shaddin Alhajahmad

Senior Economic Justice Policy Officer, Oxfam, Jordan

Shaddin Alhajahmad is a senior economic justice policy officer at Oxfam in Jordan. She started this role in mid-2019, following previous experience in the same organization in a research and advocacy role. She is interested in the role of labor markets in supporting refugee self-reliance in host countries, and innovative approaches to supporting their inclusion in labor markets as well as long-term development planning. She has conducted and participated in policy research projects on the role that skills play in facilitating job inclusion of vulnerable communities in Jordan, women's economic empowerment in the MENA region, as well as macroeconomic labor policy analyses vis a vis migrant and refugee workers. She received an M.Sc. migration mobility and development from SOAS, University of London, and a B.A. in economics from the American University of Sharjah.
