Brian Lally

Education Specialist, Multi Aid Programs, UK

Brian is an educator and researcher with broad experience including teaching, education leadership, teacher/head teacher training, safeguarding/child protection and program management. For several years he has been working as an education specialist with a Syrian-led NGO, working with refugee children and young adults in Lebanon through primary schools, vocational training and initiatives facilitating access to higher education. He also works with Syrian NGOs operating in the education, health, nutrition and protection sectors in northern Syria and southern Turkey. He has worked extensively at local, regional and national levels both within the UK as well as in East Africa, Indonesia, Central America, West Africa and China. He holds a Master's from UCL Institute of Education, where he specialized in education in emergency, conflict and fragile contexts, and education provision for refugees in particular. Brian is also currently undertaking a Ph.D. with Kingston-St George's (University of London), building on his experience in education in emergencies and education leadership.
