Nick Bilbrough

Founder and Coordinator, The Hands Up Project, UK

Nick Bilbrough is a teacher, teacher-trainer and author. Currently, he is devoting all his energy to the Hands Up project, a registered charity he set up, which provides learning opportunities for young people, mostly in Palestine, through online conversation, storytelling and drama activities. He has taught and trained language teachers in many diverse contexts in Africa, the Middle East, South America and Europe. He is the author of two resource books in the Cambridge Handbooks for Language Teachers Series: Dialogue Activities (2007) and Memory Activities for Language Learning (2011) and more recently, Stories Alive, published by British Council, Palestine. He holds an M.A. in drama in education and is particularly interested in the role of drama and storytelling techniques in second language learning.
