Joellen Huebner is a senior project manager at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, where she focuses her time on patient and workforce safety initiatives. As part of this role, she manages the strategy and content development for the IHI Lucian Leape Institute, a group of international thought leaders focused on providing a strategic vision and innovative solutions for improving patient safety. Joellen joined the National Patient Safety Foundation in 2014, which merged with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in 2017. During this tenure, Joellen has led and contributed to projects on a variety of topics including safety culture, transparency, leadership, and measurement. Joellen holds a B.A. in international affairs and political science from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
