Carlos Bravo Regidor

Associate Professor, Center for Economic Research and Teaching

Carlos Bravo Regidor is an associate professor at the Center for Economic Research and Teaching, Mexico City, where he is also the director of the Journalism Program PeriodismoCIDE. The program offers a variety of academic training programs, interdisciplinary seminars, and ad hoc workshops, in order to develop the journalistic skills of a new generation of professional, independent, and critical reporters specialized in investigative journalism. As director of PeriodismoCIDE, he has also designed, coordinated, and edited journalistic research projects that have been published in media outlets such as Chilango,, Newsweek en Español, Animal Político, Proceso, The Guardian, The New Yorker and The Atavist, and that have received special mentions or awards from INEGI, CONAPRED, and the New Ibero-American Journalism Foundation. He is a regular collaborator on Mexican current affairs, American politics and freedom of expression at various media outlets both in Mexico and the United States.
