Paul Brione heads the International Policy and Strategy division, which is responsible for coordinating the Bank of England's international policy engagement and supporting Governors attending international meetings. Until recently this also included directly supporting Governor Carney in his role as FSB chair. He previously headed the team responsible for supervising UK central counterparties, and has also worked in the UK Treasury and Parliament on financial services dossiers. He has an M.A. in economics from Cambridge University and an MPhil in international relations from Oxford University.
