Martin Bruncko

Founder and Managing Partner, Steam Capital, Slovakia

Martin Bruncko is a technology entrepreneur, investor, and former senior public policy leader. He is the founder and managing partner of Steam Capital, which invests and helps to build transformational, deep tech companies in Europe. He has held executive, board and advisory positions in several highly innovative, R&D-based companies from Europe, including Aeromobil, where he was also the founding CFO and chief strategy officer. He was also the founder and executive chairman of Neulogy, the first major advisory and investment boutique in Central and Eastern Europe focusing on R&D and technology startups. Previously, he held several senior positions in the Government of Slovakia, including junior minister for innovations and deputy for European affairs of the minister of finance. He was also a senior director and head of Europe at the World Economic Forum. He has as also been advisor to the European Commissioner for R&D and Innovations and to the Government of Dubai. He is also the founder of Druid Collective, a non-profit initiative of the WEF's Young Global Leaders (YGLs) and Technology Pioneers focused on helping breakthrough science- and R&D-based startups around the world. Martin holds a B.A. from Stanford University and M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School.
