Michiko Yoneda is an assistant manager in the International Environmental Strategies Division of the City of Kitakyushu, Japan. After joining the organization in 1993, she worked in various fields in the city government, such as the promotion of lifelong learning and child welfare, she has been in her current post since 2017. In order to promote sustainable development in the environmental field of Kitakyushu, she works in cooperation with relevant International organizations such as the World Bank, ICLEI, JICA and IGES and currently is engaged in grassroots technical cooperation projects of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Indonesia.
