Jayne Miller

Chair, World Urban Parks; President & CEO, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, PA, USA

Jayne is chair of World Urban Parks. She also serves as the president & CEO of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, a position she has held since February 2018. Jayne is always looking at cutting edge, innovative approaches that improve city living through urban parks and green spaces. World Urban Parks projects include working in emerging cities around the globe, connecting urban park professionals with each other to advance innovative and forward thinking parks work in urbanized environments. Jayne is working on creating a public/private partnership with the City of Pittsburgh, the first of its kind in the world, for operation and management of the City's urban park system while embedding equity and data-driven methods into park investment and policy decisions. She also led the first Park System in the United States, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Jayne received her bachelor's degree from the Midland Lutheran College in Nebraska and her master's degree from the University of Maryland.
