Alan Houmann is the managing director and head of Citi's government affairs team for Europe, Middle East and Africa. The team is focused on public policy issues, including regulatory reform. Alan is a member of Citi's EMEA Operating Committee, and is the regional representative on Citi's Pride Affinity Steering Committee. He is based in London. Alan participates actively in the public policy arena, having served on the board of TheCityUK, a body set up to promote financial services in the UK and aboard; he also chairs TheCityUK's EU Strategy Group, and is a member of the executive board of its International Regulatory Strategy Group. Alan also serves on the External Affairs Committee of UK Finance (formerly the British Bankers Association), and chairs its Brexit Advisory Committee. He also serves on the board of the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange, which aims to enhance consultation between global business, policy-making and diplomatic communities.
