Vibeke Jenny Koushede

Senior Researcher, National Institute of Public Health, University of Southern Denmark

Vibeke Koushede is a senior researcher at the National Institute of Public Health, University of Southern Denmark. She has worked there since 2011 where she has initiated, developed, helped implement and evaluated various large public health intervention projects. Her mission is to address mental health and wellbeing in an innovative and visionary way of using a cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral approach and bridging the gap between research, policy, and practice. She is the initiator and project director of the ABCs of mental health (inspired by the Australian Act-Belong-Commit campaign) The project is run as a large cross-sectoral and cross-disciplinary partnership currently consisting of 36 strong partners. Vibeke is a skilled keynote speaker who participates actively in the public debate on public mental health. Further, she regularly advises organizations on how to promote mental health and wellbeing and acts as a consultant for public authorities, e.g. the Danish Health Authority.
