Sarah Deas

Director, Co-operative Development Scotland, United Kingdom

Sarah Deas is the director of Co-operative Development Scotland. She is champion of inclusive models - employee ownership, co-operatives, social enterprise, and B Corps - leading their promotion through the work of the economic development agencies. Her professional background is in strategy, marketing, and business development within international companies, including Rexam plc, LinPac Plastics International, Fort Sterling, RBM Europa, and Airport Advertising (Europe). In a non-executive capacity, she is a director of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (Scotland), a trustee of the Bank of Scotland Foundation, a member of the British Council's Scotland Advisory Committee and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Previous commitments include chair of Arts & Business Scotland and trustee of the Scottish Youth Theatre. She loves the Scottish landscape and spends much of her spare time hiking and cycling with family and friends.
