Zena Richards is director of student equity and talent management unit and educational psychologist at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. In addition, she is currently registered for her Ph.D. in educational psychology focussing on the "Conceptualisations of Academic Talent in Marginalized Communities". Ms. Richards is an experienced coach and executive trainer, and is an accredited diversity trainer specialising in anti-racism and anti-sexism. Since 1993, Ms. Richards has worked extensively in the human rights, educational and social development fields. She has designed and implemented holistic programmes to develop the capacity of youth from rural environments, build confidence and facilitate access to higher education. Previously, Ms. Richards has worked with various international organizations, such as Goldman Sachs, where she focused on facilitating the development of youth with talent programme, currently in its 8th year of existence, and Carnegie Corporation of New York. Ms. Richards holds an MA in educational psychology.
