Parul Zaveri is partner of Abhikram, a planning, architecture, conservation and interiors consultancy firm that started business in 1979 and puts a strong emphasis on sustainability. Notably, her wide range of projects focus on energy conservation through passive human comfort systems, conservation of buildings, precincts, developing conservation policies for towns, cities and states. Parul also focuses on re-establishing the relevance of using traditional material, wisdom, technologies, processes, crafts and crafts persons in adaptive re-use and contemporary contexts. She is a visiting faculty at NID, CEPT and lectures extensively on above subjects nationally and internationally. She also headed the conservation team of INTACH-Jaipur chapter, in the Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) at Jaipur, Rajasthan, for its Rs.50 Crore Heritage component for Amber and Jaipur from 2001 to 2004.
Parul studied at the CEPT University, India and part of her studies in specific course works in planning at M.I.T., USA.
