Matariki Williams

Curator Matauranga Maori, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa

Matariki Williams (Tuhoe, Ngati Hauiti, Taranaki, Ngati Whakaue) is a curator Matauranga Maori at Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand, Wellington as well as an editor - Kaupapa Maori at the Pantograph Punch. Her writing has appeared in various print and online publications including frieze, The Spinoff, The Wireless, Pantograph Punch, Counterfutures Journal, New Zealand Books, The Sapling and PhotoForum. She is a Kahui Kaitiaki representative on the Museums Aotearoa Board, and Kaihautu Maori on the board of the National Digital Forum. With artist, curator Bridget Reweti (Ngati Ranginui, Ngai te Rangi) she will be launching the inaugural edition of ATE Journal of M?ori Art in 2019.
