Eugenia Arvanitis

Assistant Professor, University of Patras, Greece

Eugenia Arvanitis is an assistant professor of interculturality and diversity in education at the University of Patras in Greece. She also teaches at the post graduate program Language Education for Refugees and Migrants at the Hellenic Open University. For the past 3 years she has worked as an intercultural expert at the Intercultural Cities network run by the Council of Europe. Since 2015, she coordinated the Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and Learning at the University of Patras. Eugenia has lived for a decade in Australia between 1995-2005, gaining valuable experience in multicultural educational and Greek language maintenance policies. Throughout the past two decades, she has developed deep theoretical knowledge and broad practical experience in the areas of teacher training, differentiated pedagogy, and intercultural education in Australia, Greece, and most recently in the United States. She is also a well-published author. Eugenia obtained her Ph.D. from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) in Australia.
