Philine Kruse

Philine Kruse, Graduate Student, M.Sc. in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, University of Oxford, UK

Philine Kruse is a student on the M.Sc. in refugee and forced migration studies program at the University of Oxford, UK. Prior to her graduate studies, Philine assisted Hanseatic Help e.V. in setting up their inaugural education program for adolescent refugees in cooperation with Lufthansa Help Alliance. She also volunteered as a language teacher for adult refugees and project leader for women's activities in Leros, Greece, with the Austrian NGO Echo100Plus. Philine pursued her strong interest in political feminism and East African politics by interning at Resonate Ltd., a social enterprise located in Kigali, Rwanda, which offers leadership workshops for disadvantaged East African women and girls. She worked as a program intern for Salzburg Global Seminar from January to April 2019 and assisted the Program Team in research, administrative support and program execution. Philine holds a B.A. in international relations from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.
